Having been personally touched by a few of the area’s local cancer centers, the entire staff at The Uniform Outlet in Jeffersonville, OH (located in Tanger Outlets Jeffersonville) decided to take an opportunity to give back. In their recent “Share the Love” promotion, they donated one scrub cap for every purchase in their store over $25. At the end of the promotion, the scrub caps to be donated were split equally between The James Cancer Hospital, Adena Regional Medical Cancer Center and the Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
With it’s first patient admitted in 1990, The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Insitute (commonly known as “The James”) is a proud part of Ohio State University and is the third largest cancer hospital in the United States. The Adena Regional Medical Center, located in Chillicothe, OH, holds a multitude of services including advanced surgeries, emergency services, cardiac and cancer care and many others. The Adena Cancer Center cares for all types of cancers, as well as providing patient and family support. They work to bring big-city care to south central Ohio to ensure families do not have to uproot to receive excellent care in a state-of-the-art facility. And finally, the Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital is one of the nation’s leaders in caring for children and young adults with cancer.
“This was our chance to give back to those in need and continue to foster positivity and awareness within our community,” says Store Manager, Victoria Climer.
